Well I found out that we can rent the castle for a whole weekend for only $50,000.00!!!!! Wouldn't that be fun?????

The Castle of Versailles Kentucky


The Castle Post, as it's now called, has been an interesting part of Versailles landscape for almost 40 years. There has been so many myths about this castle over the years, my favorite it that Lee Majors built it for Farrah. So I'll tell you the story as passed down by my father, who actually knew the man who built it. The man's name was Rex Martin. He built and owned quite a bit of property in the central Kentucky area. He built the castle as a private residence for he and his wife. But before it was completed they divorced. He could not complete the castle due to lack of funds so it remained incomplete and in disrepair for 20 years. It was overgrown with weeds and missing roof tiles when it was purchased by attorney Thomas Post. Thomas, who I believe now lives in Florida and was a native of central Kentucky, began restoring the castle about 4 years ago. He has truly transformed this eye sore into a magnificent site to behold! It is definitely worth the drive to have a look at this castle! It is just outside the Lexington/Fayette county line, just past Keeneland Race Course.
The Castle Post now operates as a Bed and Breakfast with a $1000 a night price tag! It is also available for weddings and events.


Even though my sister has lived in Lexington for at least 15 years, I am still amazed everytime I drive by this castle. Karmen has requested that her Sweet 16 party be held here! (don't ya just love her?! She has amazing ideas!) HA

Anyway...even though I felt like crap coming home on Monday, I still pulled in there to check things out. If I have someone with me, they freak out cause I put my hazzards on and get out and take pictures of this amazing castle. There are all these signs that say "Keep out" or "No Trespassing".... that's not going to stop me from getting a great photo!

Found this amazing photography website to add to my collection... still love www.avonpicturethis.com but this one is pretty cool too... I want to take some classes on indoor pictures and lighting since it is getting cold out!

The picture below I just wanted to point out that the black wallpaper that she has is exactly the same as what we had in our dining room in our last home! That was years ago.... this chick is way behind on the times! HA

My sister, Gina

So much to say but so little time. Went Sunday to Lexington, KY to take pictures for my sister. I love Lexington! Besides moving somewhere tropical or to LA ....I would pick Lexington. Such a pretty city. O.k. I don't talk much about my sisters on here but I must comment on this latest trip. I have two older sisters and they are nothing like me! We are complete opposites, not that is a bad thing, just telling you. As I am into fashion and celebrities, Gina is more into cars and houses. She can name off any car, how much it is, etc... but she knows nothing about fashion, celebrities, etc. Lexington has the most amazing malls and so we ran into the nearest one so I could go to Sephora. She was a little up to date on some of the makeup in there. Well we laughed so hard in there cause I believe we tried on every different type of makeup that they had in there! Of course, Gina thinks that they slightest thing is funny. Either she is making me sooo mad or she is making me laugh so hard that i could pee my pants. I think she is bipolar but that is a whole different story. She has the whole store watching her and this one guy was laughing so hard at her... He said, "Honey, you have just made my day." Yes, Dana...I'm sure he was gay. Anyway, after trying everything on and looking like clowns...we make our purchases. O.k. so we leave sephora and go through Macy's on the way out to the car. I spot all of this cool stuff... Free People, BCBG, 7 for all mankind, etc. So I am going nuts and Gina is like what is the big deal! So I go over to BCBG and I find this AWESOME dress and she said, "You would wear that?" She looks at the price and said "Holy S@#! Jill! It is on sale and it is still $250.00!" I said, "Well of course! It's BCBG!" She said, "What?".... I said, "BCBG." I said it really fast cause you have to... and she said "Meshebeeshee what?" I thought I was going to die! It was so funny! Guess you had to be there and know my sister gina. As we walked out, she told me that she thought she better read up on some of this stuff. I told her to put down her Good Housekeeping magazines and to read US Weekly for a change!

I can't believe how everyone wants to comment when it is regarding Rufen!!!!!!!

Rufen never calls, never waves, never pays any attention to me ANYMORE! So sad....

He commented and said that he was trying to find his kids at HSM and that is why he didn't pay much attention to me.... but that is BULLS@#! .... since when is he trying to find his kids? They lived across the street from us for years and never once tried to find them....

Good morning justjill fans! Haven't been on for a couple of days so I am sure I have lots of topics to talk about!

My friend, TCO, had this wonderful idea to take about 10 middle school girls to see High School Musical 3 last night. She invited me along and I believe the rest of Seymour! HA It was CRRRAAAAZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't believe the line that we waited in (inside) just to get into the movies. We went to the 6:40 show so as we were standing in line, we see the show before us get out. Tons of people but one person really stood out of the crowd. Any guesses??? Rufen Cummings! He was there watching HSM!!! I think he went by himself and he had on this tshirt that said, "High School Musical Rocks!" ....and then on the back it said, "HSM #1 Fan!" (I personally thought it was a little weird that he was there but I thought I should keep my comments to myself)...

Did I also mention that now that The Cummings family have moved across town that they don't really acknowledge us anymore?

Did I mention last week that Daphne likes the color pink and wanted to buy some perfume with the word pink in it.... or a pink lid. Anyway...I have had this one fragrance called PINK SUGAR! From Sephora of course. HA Read about it one day in US Weekly I think.

So...you guessed it!.... tried it and loved it!

Daphne came by one day and I gave her a squirt of it and she texted later that night and said she LOVED it! I guess she will be wanting some Pink Sugar for herself. :)

One more thing... I told her that I thought it was a light, fun and airy perfume but the description on the bottle says, "Playful. Mischievous. Romantic."

One of the many great qualities of Daphne is that she is always up for anything! That's why we love her! She stopped by Friday night....(HUSH DANA!).... and I gave her a few squirts to see how she liked it. I think she did! Didn't you???? It's o.k. if you didn't. Tell justjill fans what you thought of it! She did mention that she liked the color pink and so I have just the thing for her...

Beauty secret time....

I have this amazing stuff called LEMONAID that if you get no sleep, like myself, you put it on your eyes and it looks like you have had a good 8hrs! It costs around $18.00 and I bought it at Sephora of course. It will last forever!

LC's headband

O.k. I really like this bohemian look that Lauren is sporting around! BUT... I think she is trying to look way too much like Nicole Richie. I think both girls wear it well and they are both gorgeous...but LC needs to come up with a little different style.
Now... why can these girls wear this headband and look awesome and if we saw someone in Seymour wear it, then we would think they have lost their mind?
Seriously...Seymour needs a FASHION MAKEOVER! Even the Brownstown vball girls had their hair in the LC braid but Seymour didn't! COME ON!!!!!!!

Fashion Week in LA and Lauren showed off her latest Spring 09 collection. I thought she looked very pretty and I was mad cause she didn't put me in the front row! All the "cool" celebrities sit in the front! The only thing that I think Lauren should try is maybe a pushup bra. She keeps wearing these dresses that are low cut and it doesn't do much for her boobs. What do you think?

I want my own collection! I like the way they spelled her name in the back...I wonder what font that is? HA Oh..don't worry...I will get to the bottom of it!

Kneepads

O.k. so last night we played Karmen's team and it was sooo much fun! I told Karmen that I was going to wear her volleyball shorts and kneepads and of course, she was like NO!!!!!

So Walt comes in... oops...maybe I shouldn't call him by name.... we will call him.... Jalt.... and he has on kneepads and this awesome sweatband/headband like from the video of PHYSICAL!

I love Dolce & Gabbana!!!!!!!! Makes me feel so "celebrity-like"... is that a word? Anyway, as I was flipping through one of my magazines (Several months ago!)... I came across this perfume and it is D&G Light Blue. Well, I don't know if I have told you, (I'm sure I have)...that my favorite color is blue! So I figured...this has to be good! Dana doesn't like perfume so I don't wear it much. But this is light and fun! Did you know that a perfume could be FUN? AND...I had NO idea that it was listed as one of the best!

LOVE THIS BLUSH!!! All the cool people are wearing it!

For about a year or so...I have noticed that NARS blush is the top blush around the world! Seriously! Here's the thing though...I had bought it and then it suddenly disappeared when Karmen went to Paris. So I had to buy another one. The top color is called "Orgasm". So it is a little embarassing when you go in there and request it. This color looks great on everyone! Every skin type, tan...not tan.... etc.

Sephora

Sephora. I love that store. What I really enjoy is looking through my latest US Weekly/People/InStyle/etc. magazines and finding out the "secrets" to these celebrities. Sephora carries everything that they wear! I feel just a little closer to them when I know I am wearing the same makeup that they are! I have totally lost my mind! Anyway...I feel like it is my duty to research some of these items and let you know what is the best.

So why do celebrites names sound so good when they are like that but ours doesn't? Check this out...
